Another short film project with my friend Ben Manning. On this occasion he was acting and producing, so I was working with a new director. Again, I was given a lot of space to experiment with my own writing style, rather than conform to some preconceived ideas, which is always nice.
Shiny Sky is the tale of a woman who returns home to her husband after losing her memory in a serious car crash. We see them try to make sense of their relationship, as she gets flashbacks to a past that doesn’t match up with what her husband is telling her.
An intriguing and intimate story, I again focused predominantly on piano and strings, with my signature synth sounds adding the atmospherics. Definitely one of my proudest projects to date.
